BIO

John-David Richardson (he/they) is an artist and educator from Franklin County, Alabama. They received their MFA from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and are currently based in Cincinnati, Ohio, where they teach at the University of Cincinnati, DAAP. They were a Photolucida Critical Mass Finalist, a Magenta Foundation Flash Forward 100 finalist, Grand Prize Winner of PDN’s 2018 Student Photo Contest, and Second Place Winner in the 2018 Lenscratch Student Prize. Richardson’s work has been shown nationally, internationally and featured online and in print, including Bloomberg Businessweek, NPR, The Wall Street Journal, VICE, Feature Shoot, and PDNedu, among others. Their interests in art and photography are centered on understanding generational trauma as it relates to class, family, and region.
